16 Week Americauna Gender?!

My lavender Americauna is still stumping me on gender. He/She is 16 weeks, no eggs no crowing. Feathering looks like it’s a cockerel to me, but her brother matured much quicker and a very different demeanor who turned out to be a cockerel and was the runt and became much bigger than this chicken. Really holding out some hope it may be a pulley still. Very sweet chicken!

Hmm... my bet is cockerel. I agree that you can't really tell with the feathering being lavender but I've noticed the pea combs stay pretty small and pale until right at POL. While 16 weeks is very possible, my gut says male.

I agree, I think it's a cockerel too. The comb seems very large and red for a young EE that's not laying yet, and if you look closely, you can see some pointed saddles coming in.
