Hey everyone!
We have six 17 week old pullets (2 ISA browns, 2 cinnamon queens, and 2 barred cochin bantams).
None of the girls are laying eggs yet. All of a sudden one of our ISA browns became really aggressive towards 2 of the other chickens (1 cinnamon queen and 1 barred Cochin) We allow them to free range almost all day, we have multiple waterers throughout the property and just added a 2nd feeder hoping it reduces the fighting.
The aggressor seems to just run up on the other chickens for no reason and starts attacking. Even when they back down and retreat, she chases them and continues to attack.
Could this be because they’re almost at egg laying age? Or do we just have a bully on our hands? Any help or advice would be appreciated!
