Hi All...!
We are going to add 5 Barred Rock Pullets to our flock. That will bring our number back up to 12. We've had a bit of bad luck recently, more about that here... https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/second-sick-hen.1445783/

These five will be going in a very large kennel with a roost for 30 days for observation. They will be in a separate building during this quarantine. They will be 17 weeks old when we pick them up next week. The lighting will dim on at sunrise and dim down at sunset to mimick what is going on in the real world. I'm thinking they should be okay to eat layer pellets at this point.
I'm on the fence about worming the new girls while in quarantine. (The others were recently wormed due to the above post). They are coming from a reputable farm, but I don't believe that really matters. So I'm wondering what y'all would do during the 30 day quarantine as preventative measures.
