18 eggs in 10 days from 2 girls

Just what the subject line said. Since August 1st, I have gotten 18 eggs in 10 days from 2 girls. They are the only ones laying so far and have laid consistantly every day, with a single day off each. They have each laid for 8 days straight. IF the white leghorn gives me an egg tomorrow, she will hit 9 days.....she laid her egg today around 11am, so I am expecting one tomorrow.

They are little machines! Not bad considering the white leghorn just started laying August 1st! 9 eggs in her first 10 days of laying. The red girl started laying mid July so she is new too.

What good girls. Now if only the other 7 would get their act together. Little free loaders.

How old are they? I have 8 pullets and I'm starting to wonder how old they'll be before they start laying...

Congrats - good thing eggs can be used in so many ways!!!

I think they are 21-22 weeks. My red girl started at 19-20 weeks and my white leghorn started at about 19-20 weeks. They were 2 weeks apart in age, but started at about the same age each.

The other girls are.....4 the same age as the white leghorn (including another white leghorn) and 3 a week younger. None of those slackers have started yet.
