hello , just want to ask a question, my hen has the runs? would anyone know why? she has a lose of apatite but will eats grass, please help, xx Emma

What are her symptoms? Can you post a picture?

This may help us figure it out:
When did it start?
Was she recently moved or introduced to new birds?
What is she eating?
Is it extra hot or humid?
Is she laying yet or not?
Is she straining at all?
Is her face/comb pale or bright?
Is she having trouble breathing?

we bought her on Sunday along with a roo and hen
it started a few days ago,
she isn't laying,
roo is treading her alot,
shes not straining it Inst hot they have plenty to drink, I think it might be something to do with layer pellet, her comb Inst bright red, its pink, can u help please x

Chickens can get stressed from new moves and may stop laying. She may be stressed from being over-bred some by the rooster as well, as he may like her more than he likes the other hen.
Is there a chance she was sick before you go her?

oh right, I couldn't tell ya if she was like this before we had her she came off a poultry farm, along with the other 2? she alot slimmer then my other hen, but both the same age, so any ideas xx

I would try worming her and offer her a lot of different foods, wheat bread, scrambled eggs and watermelon, to get her eating again. Make sure she is getting plenty of water. Adding vitamins to the water may help.

when we purchased them the woman said to worm them by using a clove of garlic in the water, but she said they've all been wormed and have had their vaccines so,,, I'm not sure what to do xx
