1st coop ever

On the front and back sides, they should probably be at least a few inches tall and maybe a foot or two wide. You can also add some long, narrow vents along the sides, as close to the roof line as possible. That way, no matter which way the wind is coming from, you have good air flow at the top of the coop. You're also going to need a raccoon proof latch on the door from the coop to the run, or fortify that chainlink gate so that raccoons can't squeeze through. They can also tear apart that lattice. Your roosts should also be at least a few inches higher than the tops of the nest boxes.

On the gate would you suggest putting a 2x6 in the ground to help fortify it better
