My son talked me into 2 ducklings. They are now 3 weeks old. I have them outside in a coop with 12 chicks roughly the same age. They all get along well. Here is my question. Is it okay to put a shallow pan of water in the coop so the ducks can splash and play? The weather here is generally 90° during the day. Thanks in advance!

I raise Call Ducks and mine are still little. They have a kiddie pool with a step made of bricks inside the pool and a step to get into the pool. I have never lost a Duckling yet.
Yes, give them a safe container to play in. I use rubber livestock bowls.

Having chicks and duckling in same area can make for tragedy for the chicks with water, I'd either separate the 2 so you don't have to worry about the chicks accidently getting into water and drowning. Or give the ducklings something very shallow to play in so if a chick was to get into it they wouldn't drown always with supervision.
