1st egg

I know the odds are stacked against us from the get go, but we awoke to our first egg this morning, and its going into the incubator, I know I know I have read all the post just asking for trouble, I will wrangle chickens tonight and set some up to let them brood and we will try the next few eggs under a chicken, I have some sussex that will go broody the first time u dont pick up the eggs!!

woo hooo spring is sprung and we got ourselves a peacock egg!!!

Hope not to much longer for the northern birds......about a month for mine.

2nd egg late in the evening yesterday,

yup, you should get one every other night.... they lay at dusk generally.

I think when the hens kick in we will have 4 or 5 that are laying, hope I can successfully hatch these things!
