1st hatch - ducks. Mistakes were made. Advice appreciated

Pekin Ducks
At day 23 movement was seen and air pockets looked right

At day 25 could not tell if there was movement, took them off turner and increased humidity.

Should I be able to see movement at this point? Air pockets still seem to be correct and veins are present.

Also a concern that the temp spiked too high for a day. Don't know for sure how high but I used a seperate thermometer and it was too high 102.5°.

Is there any hope for these babies?

Is it common for the eggs not to move this late in hatching?

They can barely move in the egg at this point.
You can see fluttering sometimes.

I think there's still hope. I know it's anxiety-inducing (especially with a late temperature spike), but eggs from Mallard-derived breeds take roughly 28 days to hatch...and up to day 30 is not unusual.

Some eggs may wiggle, some may peep, and some just don't (at least while we're watching) - but even the unmoving, quiet ones can hatch.

Totally normal! My two batches I incubated this year so far did not move once during lockdown, nor peep but they all hatched! Not sure what day your on, but I’ve had some hatch on day 30+. The temp spike can be nerve wracking but don’t worry, it’ll probably be okay! Keep us posted!

Oh no! To me only maybe 1 or 2 still look alive but it’s hard to tell from the picture, and if they are they look very underdeveloped for day 30.

I did the float test. 2 good, 3 sank to bottom. I put the 2 back in. The others, one looked fully formed but the inside membrane was rubbery and tough. The other 2 were varying stages of development. I guess we'll have to see if the 2 alive make it. Thanks for the help.
