Ive got a hen sitting on eggs not hers, am i to assume with 6 hens and a rooster the eggs shes sitting on are fertile and will hatch?

When she hatches out her chicks, she will want to raise them and not continue to set........................
Setting not ever ending but wouldn't that be nice.................

My broody sat on 11 eggs, from 11 hens and a rooster. All 11 hatched, and my broody has 11 scurrying about around her. Makes me tired just watching!

I think one rooster can service 10-12 hens(seems like I read that somewhere) without any problem in fertility. One exception that I am aware of is a Copper Marans rooster, which I think is 6-8 hens per rooster.
