1st year chicken farmer - N. Texas

10 months into raising my first flock on our new homestead. We started with 10 chicks (one ended up being a roo) and now we have 7 hens. 1 Exchequer leghorn, 2 Plymouth Barred Rock, 4 Rhode Island Reds. I'm new to chicken farming and this forum has been an excellent resource. Found this forum over on the backyardchickens Reddit sub. I'm a 35 yr old mom of two young children and wife. My other hobbies include mountain biking, longboarding/skateboarding, hiking, and cooking.
