1yo Hen with poopy butt???

Don't know if this will help, but try adding a teaspoon or two of Cider vinegar to a gallon of water. The place I buy my chicks from suggested this and I always add it to their water for the first several days. I know yours is an older bird but I dont think it will hurt.

Sometimes they just have a loose one and it gets stuck to the fluffy butt feathers. I'd give her fanny a soak and clean her up then keep an eye on it. I had an egg bound hen get like that too so feel around her vent and abdomen while you have a hold of her, especially if you don't know if she's been laying lately or not.

Our one year old GLW had the same problem and I did exactly what Kittymomma did - gave her a bath and watched her for a couple of days, she's as good as new. With ours, it was a bit on the runny side, so I made sure she's been getting electrolytes as well. It's been four or five days since her bath and she's back to normal. Good luck!
