2-3 electric wire fence

Anyone use 2 or 3 wire electrified fence to keep there free range chickens in a area. I have about 2 acres. My chickens keep wanting to go on the road and in my next door neighbors yard.

Anyone use 2 or 3 wire electrified fence to keep there free range chickens in a area. I have about 2 acres. My chickens keep wanting to go on the road and in my next door neighbors yard.

You would be much better off to use electrified poultry netting. Any type of mesh fencing works better than only using wires. I have seen dogs shoot through electrified wires with 6" spacing and heard of chickens doing the same. The wires would be much better than no perimeter fence at all but my choice would be mesh fence with or without electrification of the mesh with a few electrified wires as a bonus.
