I finally managed to get the 10 girls of the Blue Blob banded and sorted.
They are 11 weeks old and from Welp -- which does not carry Sapphire Gems. Blue Rocks seem to be the only blue breed in their catalog that have yellow feet and red ear lobes. But I'd like some expert eyes on them to confirm.
Black/Purple -- the former suspected male (based on comb at 3 weeks), which I asked about the other day. Still no male saddles hiding out under her feathers so I'll take her as a confirmed girl.
Black/purple strikes me as a particularly lovely bird with a nice, medium color, no black ticking, good lacing, and a correctly-dark head.
Pink seems to be another Blue Rock, though I wonder if she's a Splash rather than a Blue (Unfortunately, I've never seen a splash bird in person so I don't really know what I'm looking for). She's got the yellow feet. Her color is paler with black ticking and slight lacing.
Thoughts?
They're going to be for sale and I want to have them correctly identified.
