Hoping this goes here.

I'm looking at Orpingtons and Wyandottes, hens only for both.
Can these two be together? will they get along?
Or is it best to not mix?

Thanks

There is no reason they wouldn't get along. I mix and match all the time. Right now I have.... at least 5 or 6 different breeds, plus a bunch of mutts that have resulted from those breeds mixing and matching. There are many, many BYCers who have mixed flocks and it works out just fine.

My entire flock is a big mix of random breeds (Barred rock, white rock, polish, EEs, new hampshires and a couple more). I personally prefer to have a mixed flock because of all the different egg colors. They should be fine :)

Oh! That's the best! It's like an Easter Egg hunt every day! Right now I'm getting bright blue, dusty blue, two different shades of olive green, pink, dark brown, regular brown and a cream colored egg every day. So much fun! (It could be that I'm WAY too easily entertained....)

I have 4 Peking bantams, 3 Orpington bantams and an ex bat red they all live together no problem :) do it!!!
