So the dominant chook , australops, still sitting on eggs, due in couple of days. The other hen is very calm, shes a silkie, she hatched yesterday 4 babies. During the time they were sitting, the australop was stealing eggs all time but never hurt the silkie. Yesterday the silkie hatched and australop was looking and made weird sounds so I put her in a plastic box with her eggs and she's quiet and fine now with her eggs. Question: what do I do when in 2 days the australop hatch eggs? I was almost thinking to give to her all the babies cause I'm afraid that she will hurt the babies or silkie . They are together in the coop atm, 2 roosters very cute and calm sleep with them and in the day free range but never leave the run much cause the chooks are inside the coop. I don't know if leave them co parent all the babies or just give the babies all to the australop but poor silkie, maybe she mind? They both new mummas first hatch. 1 year old. Both very broody and committed to become mothers. Help

I would suggest letting them work it out. Some hens will work together. Some hens will chase off other hens and chicks and some will steal another hens chicks. You won't know until they are both off the nests.
If the Australorp is aggressive towards the Silkie and chicks a sight blocker with food and water on both sides may help.

Thank you. I really wish they will get along and no killing babies, thats what i am afraid. I guess I'll see in couple of days.

I would monitor to see if they work it out.
When I was young and had chickens, I knew very little about caring for them. I allowed two broody hens to share a nest. Only one chick hatched and they shared it.
