2 broody hens and day 22

Long story short one of my hens went broody ..... then another . So I split the eggs between the 2 of them. I candled at the beginning of last week all looked good and I've left alone since then . So my concern is I went out there this morning one of them was cracked but no chick and just some yucky stuff . The others are still good but last time a broody hatched it was like clock work day 21 there was a hatch ....... should I candle the others or leave alone ?

You should probably take the cracked egg out or it might explode. I say leave the others alone for now and in another day or so, if none have hatched, take them out.

I’m on day 23 with one broody. I’m starting to feel sad... no advice, just saying I’m in the same boat.

Ok I just went out there at closer look it looked like the egg had exploded when I went to clean up I actually realized it was a squished dead chick
