this morning I went out to feed and I found that 2 of my chickens had died. One was a leghorn rooster and the other was a silkie. They just seemed to have fell over. No marks. Nothing was around the coop/run no tracks in the snow. It was 14• last night. Is it possible that their feet got too cold and they didn’t get inside and froze overnight? They are healthy birds and have food and fresh water available. The run has a little snow but nothing that even covers their feet. I have no idea what to do.

Chickens have this amazing ability to hide disease. They seem healthy one day, the next they have passed. You may have some underlining 'disease' going around your flock. If you are so inclined, you can have your birds necropsied**by your state agricultural extension to know for sure. I don't believe any one can really tell you what or why given the information you have. Just lost one to Egg Peritonitis a few days ago, its heartbreaking. Sorry for your loss.
