...so I'm left with one chick. I can brood her myself, but I was wondering if I should get her some other chicks to grow up with...for company until integrating with the rest of the flock, and for strength in numbers when integrating with the flock.

I can get some other chicks today, but they will be about 11 days older than her. Is that too much of an age difference?

I'm also concern that if I get 2 more, that they will gang up on her. Should I only get 1 more?

Thanks.

I would definitely get a few more. They like to flock together and one would be awful lonely. And maybe michevious! (sp??) I have five 4-week olds and I notice when i'm moving them and one's left, it seems frightened to be separated from the rest! Good luck!
