2 chicks welsummer and gold lace wyandotte ..which is which? Please...I'm such a beginner

I would guess the Wyandotte is the darker one

Are you sure they sent a gold laced wyandotte? The lighter one looks like my silver laced wyandotte did.

I don't think you have a welsummer. I think you have a golden and silver laced wyandotte.

Can you post some better photos? Face markings can be helpful in distinguishing between breeds.

The chipmunk looking one is the Welsummer.

X2. Welsummers have distinct eye stripes. Wyandottes have a more mottled looking face.

Agree with better pics, I have both and there’s slight differences and the comb will be most helpful

The Wyandotte should have a rose comb (flat) and Welsummer a single comb. I do have a Wyandotte with a mixed single comb though
