2 day old Brahma chick.

One of my Brahma chick seems to have shit eyes. Or maybe no eyes?
The last picture is of a normal looking one
Anybody has experience with this?
Remedies?

I had a chick that looked similar. I rinsed with saline and applied terramycin ointment twice a day i think. I will try to find the thread.

Thank you! I have both saline solution and terramycin. I have gel though, not drops.

The chick also seems to lose its balance. Probably because of the eye sight. And it’s way smaller than the others.

Flush the eye with saline, clean it out. Put the Terramycin ointment IN the eye. Do this a couple of times a day.

Could be she's a bit behind if she's not eating well due to not being able to see. Offer her wet mushy feed, see if she can eat that better instead of having to try to pick up individual pieces of crumbles.

It wouldn't hurt to give her vitamin therapy for a few weeks in addition to treating her eye and insuring she's eating/drinking well. 400IU Vitamin E and 1/4 tablet B-Complex daily.

Thank you. I did this and the eyes are open today and look much better.

Thank you. I did the salinecand terramycin. It’s only one day and the eyes already look normal and open.
