I got her from Murray McMurray hatchery. She is 2 days old, and her wings have been like this since she arrived.

She eats and drinks, but not nearly like the others do. But she just chirps all day long and is louder than all the others, so I feel like she may be distressed.

Her wings do not fold up at all. They lay down by her side at all times. I have never seen her lift them up and flap them like the others do either.

Are they broken, do you think? If so, is there any fixing them?

Thanks for any help!!!

If she's keeping her wings held out, away from her body, it means she's too hot. While chicks do need a warm zone, it is equally important that they can get away from the heat too.

She looks very weak, probably from shipping stress. Droopy wings is not a good sign. Get some water with electrolytes and dip her beak several times, giving her time to swallow. Do this several times an hour all day long. If you can pick up some Poultry NutriDrench, you can give her 1 ml daily plus plain water. SaveAChick electrolytes are good for the water--use one or the other. Use a thermometer under your heat lamp to keep it at 90-95 the first week, and go down by 5 degrees each week. Raise the lamp at least 18 inches and higher to control the heat.

I have the electrolytes in their water already. She is drinking and eating, just doesnt run around with the others, and wont pull her wings up. I have the temperature where it should be. They are playing like they should be, not huddled together, but not panting with their wings out either.

I have had a few die yesterday when I first got them. Within a few hours of them getting here. They wouldnt even eat or drink. But she is... its just those wings!

Sometimes you can save them by getting them to drink and drink for the first day or two. Sounds like your shipment of chicks was pretty stressed. Were they in the mail very long?
