I brought home this little guy today and at first I figured that he was stressed out from being hatched and then shipped right away. The other 3 I also bought are up and running around but this little guy just sits there. He will eat and drink and stand up as long as a stand him up. Once hes standing hes good for a little bit then looses his balance and falls over like a tiny drunk. His legs seem fine, no curly toes or anything like that. He just acts exhausted. I finally separated him from the other chicks because they all dog pile on him and he cant get up. Any ideas?

I don't know if it will help but I hatched a poult that had flip over syndrome. He would flip on back and not be able to right himself. When dipped his beak in water he would get tremors.

I took a pillowcase rolled it up and then layered it like an ice cream cone so it had a hole in the middle and then put the chick in the hole.

It gave the chick support and forced him to stand and use his legs.

It took about four days. And he could climb out and walk on his own without flipping over or stumbling.

But during that time I still had to give him drinks by dipping his beak. And had food in there that would peck his beak into.
He is now running around brooder like nothing was ever wrong.

Hope you can get him walking.

Good luck

I'll try the cone thing tomorrow. Right now I cut out a piece of carpet and flipped it upside down, (rough side up) to give then some traction. He's gotten back up a few times on his owN now that his little claws can get ahold of something.

Sadly, he didn't make it
