2 foot alligator caught in N. Illinois farm pond....

Yes it was caught in a secluded pond in Northern Il. I am surprised it lived thru the winter up there.Il. has some great fishin places,spoonbill catfish,muskie,trout,huge catfish and bass.Has your family caught anything unusual..???

Every once in awhile you read an article in the paper about someone finding a gator in the local pond. It's usually because someone had a pet gator that got too big and they go out at night and dump the poor thing in a waterway or pond. Jerks.

Good thing it was caught before it caught a small kid or pet.

Yeah that was back home. I bet someone dumped it this summer. Probably a college student since it was found near NIU. They probably let it go in the lagoon at the end of last school year. Idiots.
