I was holding my 2 month old chick while I was standing and then he started climbing up on my arm heading towards my shoulder. He/she loves to perch up there all the time. All of a sudden he slipped and fell on the floor. He fell on his left side on his wing. I bent down to check him out and he closed his eyes for a little while but then went back to being normal. He is still alert, eating the same, and walking fine. I did notice that he will not flap or open up his left wing. I feel so bad that I could not catch him before he fell and think that his wing might be banged up or broken. What can I do?? Please help I don't want my baby to be hurt.

Hi there.....I would just keep a close eye on her. Hopefully nothing is broken just a little bruised. I wouldn't try to manipulate the wing unless I had to. Chicks can be very resilient.

I'm sure she will be fine and you feel worse than she does.

Sending good thoughts your way!

He/she seems to just lay around now. I'm guessing it's because he is in pain so I gave him a little bit of aspirin mixed in water.

Yes I do feel way worse then he does. It just breaks my heart.
Thank you, I'm sure he will be fine also.

UPDATE: My chick can flap his wing a little today so that gives me some relief.. I now know that his wing is not broken and he will recover soon from a bruised wing.
