Hi everyone. I could use some help. I am a first time chicken owner and I've had my chicks for about 7-8 weeks now. Up until now they were super healthy.

However for the past week one of them started to act differently especially when it came to her food. My chick barely eats, she nibbles a bit and then walks away. I've tried giving her, her favorite treats and other foods such as fruit but she's uninterested. Her energy level is normal though, she walks around and hops on top of surfaces and always pecks the ground. I've also seen that in the past week her poop is white. Imagine normal shaped poop, but white. Lastly I've also noticed that occasionally she will have her mouth open to breathe...

Her crop also empties every night.

There is nothing wrong with her appearance. There's no watery eyes or discoloration anywhere on her body. Other than what I've written there's no other symptoms.

Im worried that she has some sort of illness. If anyone has some home remedies or recommended foods for her to try I would really appreciate it. I love her so much and it would break my heart to lose her after spending so much time with her.

For now, no treats. Make sure the feed is either chick starter or a grower/raiser feed, and be sure it's FRESH. Worms can also cause this problem, and it's at the right age to be wormed.

Thank you, I'll try this. Would you happen to know if a worm would cause her breathing symptom? And if it a worm is there anything I can give her to help?
