It was really hot and humid, and my husband went out in the afternoon to check on our baby girls and give them some treats...one of the chickens was "running around" on her belly, scooting along easily, her wings were in the normal position. All of them were running around but she was scooting on her belly to get the treats. My husband picked her up and looked at her legs which were fine, she stretched them out, but put her down and she did it again. He picked her up a second time and brushed all of the sand and dirt off of her belly and from under her feathers and sat her down and she ran off normally, and hasnt done it again. She is eating and drinking normally, why did she do this?
