I had a dog kill my chickens, and I replaced them the same day. My original flock was raised together and got along great and I have 2 female ducks. The new chickens got picked on so we divided the coop, placing food and water on both ends. The problem is during the day the ducks nibble at the chickens. They don't let them be where the ducks want to be. They don't hurt the necks, but nibble the butts. There are no injuries, just pushing them around. They both are fed and have water access. Should I be concerned? I don't have room for a second coop. Is this normal pecking order behavior? It is getting better than when I first got the chicks.

I have a few muscovy in my chicken shed. There is a back and forth between the species, sometimes the ducks are goosing the chickens, and sometimes the chickens are pecking the ducks. It's never serious, but it does happen. Make sure there are plenty of feeding and watering stations to cut down on hostilities.
