1st time broody Silkie on eggs for 2 nights

Eggs were cold when I checked just now when she was off - could have been off for at most 3 hours since I last checked she was on them. She got on the nest but only put half under her. I shoved the rest under - she has 8 eggs.

Question, do I break her now since she's inconsistent and can I eat the eggs? or could they have started developing and I should just continue to allow her to try brooding?

DO NO EAT THE EGGS. That would be utterly revolting. Maybe dry separating her and locking her in with the eggs with some food and water? So all she wants is to sit on the eggs since that's all she sees. Some eggs may have died on her time off, but I'm sure my first broody spend 6 hours in total off of those eggs. Luckily it was summer, so they didn't get too cold. I hatched 5/12 from that batch... 2 survived from it.... Rough first hatch 🤦‍♀️

Good Luck and if any hatch, post some pictures!
