When our neighbors moved we took in their 6 RI reds, I had always said that when we got down to 2 I would try to re-home them because I do not want to have 1 so as too not be lonely. We lost the 4th one today. They are not laying any longer but have become our pets. They have clipped beaks. We are in Stratford CT and everything we have will go with them, coop, food, etc. Hoping when we buy a retirement home in a few years we can again have a small flock. Having chickens is awesome but getting more for us right now the timing is not good. Thanks. Jim
