2 pairs of laying hens need a home

Due to a new job requiring us to move, we need to find home for our 4 backyard chickens. We are moving to a much colder climate, and will have to rent up there, so we can't take them with us. I would like to rehome them in pairs, as they have been raised that way. First up, we have two 6 month-old buff Orpington's, who just started laying last month. The other pair are a 1.5 year-old Rhode island red and a dominique- both lay large brown eggs with good regularity. They have been raised around kids and dogs, and are friendly enough to be picked up, carried around, will take treats out of your hand. I am in Davis, CA, but I would be happy to meet somewhere if you would be willing to take a pair. Thank you!
 
I live in Carson cityNv but I am very interested in your babies as i just lost two of mine. Maybe there's something we can arrange?
 
Sure! My boyfriend works in North Tahoe, perhaps he could bring them to work and you could pick them up? His next shift starts one week from today. I think they would be fine on a long car ride.
 
I am still looking for a home for them, so if you'd like to take them, that would be great. Napa isn't far from Davis. I would be happy to meet in the middle, or I could bring them all the way to you next Thursday (my next day off). Let me know what works best for you.
