I have 10 Barred Rock 8 hens 2 roosters. He acts fine and actually seems to be the dominant of the two but his tail droops... can anyone tell me why? Thank-you in advance

Its not anything really to explain. If there are two roosters in a flock there is always the dominate one. I guess it would depend on behavior on why there is a dominate one. It could be more brave and willing to fight more so than the other.

I'm sorry I guess I didn't make the question clear... why does his tail droop???

can you give me any explanation why his tail droops?

I'd say because hes trying to look less of a threat for the more dominate rooster. If he knows whose the boss he give in more to the main roo. So him hanging his tail is showing the other rooster he has no interest in fighting with him over the flock
