i have 3 dark brahmas 5+ months from one flock who are bullying 5 others slightly younger from another flock and wont let them down to scratch etc. all are brahma....its been 2 weeks but maybe its still a bit early. i have been putting older ones in hen house so they can see out and watch others scratch for awhile but once let out within 10 minutes they scare others up to the perches. i have been squirting them with spray bottle which does distract the bullying. will they work this out naturally or am i developing a lifelong habit of the 5 younger living up high? i'm in a wheelchair so i have to get help to catch and seperate them when i do. i just hope they all gel so i can enjoy them more and they all will be a happy flock.

Maybe bring your cat or dog in, if they can be trusted, so the birds all bond while sharing a danger scenario and forget about their petty squabbles?

I combined my oldest girls with my younger by just combining them at night and letting it go. There was some squabbles, especially over food sources. I would put out another food source for the time being until things get a big more amicable. Right now they're fighting over resources.

no cat or dog out there. its a new coop with all new young birds introduced the same day. just 2 different flocks and the older flock is running the show. its been 2 weeks. maybe in expecting quick results.

Depends on the birds. My youngest set are not quite a year younger than my oldest. There has been some pecking before the kids learned to stay out of the big one's way. Its been a couple of months now since integration, and they're all capable of eating together at the same time, but sometimes the babies get a peck because the irritated somebody.
