I have to decide and it's a really close call. These two splash boys I hatched on January 29 are turning out quite promising at 14 weeks and I really can't see any noticeable difference. I haven't weighed them -- I'll try that tonight when I can get them after dark and keep them calmer.

Anyone seeing anything that would indicate one being better than the other?

Here are some group shots, along with their sister:

Yellow on the left, Purple on the right,

Yellow in back, Purple in front,

Individual shots of Purple (I'm including "upskirt" shots to get a look at the tail width since our experts have pointed out that my flock in general tends toward being a little pinched in the tail):

And Yellow, who was considerably less cooperative about posing,

I like Purples splash pattern better. It also currently looks like his tail has a better spread in the side profile.

Photos from today.

I still can't tell them apart, but I did an off-the-roost exam last night and Purple *might* be slightly larger-framed. His feet seem to be just a touch larger and his legs just a smidge thicker.

So I'll be keeping Purple as junior and Seti, the best of the blacks, as Flockmaster.
