2 Week Old Black Copper Maran Chick Sexing

Hello, all! This is our very first batch of chicks, and being new, I was hoping to possibly get input on if this little one may be a boy or a girl. This is Kipper - 2.5 weeks old. My daughter is completely smitten with her chick, but the size of the comb has me wondering if Kipper may be a boy, and we can't keep roosters. No pink in the comb anywhere, but I wanted to run it past more experienced chicken owners!

The chick is too young to make an accurate gender ID.

I would guess pullet, but it would only be a guess.

The comb size at that age is basically meaningless. I am looking at the horizontal carriage and the lack of a pale wing "cap" for my guess.

When the comb starts to color in that's when you can start to worry, usually around 4 weeks in my experience.
