Hey everyone,
I have had four new chicks for a week now but they are just over two weeks old. They have been doing great until today. I went down to check on them for the third time today and one of my Dominique's does not seem to be able to walk well. She will take a few steps and sit down. She seems to be flapping her wings a little for help when she tries to walk. She was walking fine until today and her legs are not splayed out. I did not see her eat or drink while I was down there but it was only for about 20 mins and I was checking her out most of the time. The only other thing is noticed was her breast/ crop area seems more puffed up or squishy feeling then the others. I have older hens and I can feel the crops on them well but it seems harder on chicks. This chick however seemed to have a squishy or airy feeling crop as well. Any ideas?
