I have 3 pullets, they turned 2 weeks old today. Yesterday I noticed they started flying at each other, trying to jump on each other. When it happens, I hear the little victim chirp for help. It really scares me. I read that this is sparring. How safe it it? How do I know if I have to separate them? I don't want them to hurt each other.

A little of this is normal. But they could also be bored and restless. In nature, they would do a little of this but mostly they would be foraging. A brooder that is too small, or a little too warm will aggravate this as well. Add things to change the brooder a little. You could add a short roost and a few things to jump up on or hide under, and move them around each day. If possible, take them outdoors for short outings (you will need to fence them in.) You can also add a clump of sod.

As long as the loser isn't getting injured and has enough space to get away from the other bird it's okay. Chicken status can be very noisy, all that squeaking is how the loser tells the winner "I yield, you're the boss". Agree with Judy though they need space and something to do besides mess with each other.
