2 week old chicks to 5 day old

I have 4 very active and healthy 2 week old chicks and just got 4 more 3 day old chicks. The young ones are doing great in their own coop but Im concerned about getting them together. Should I keep the young ones isolated until they grow another week or so.. Ide hate to introduce them to the big boys pen only to get the poop kicked out our them... any ideas thanks.
