I have 5 two week old chicks. Starting around six yesterday evening one was limping, and now she won't get up at all, and I've got a second one this morning that's just standing there. The other three are walking around pecking and happy. I'm assuming I should treat them with something, maybe Corid or Sulmet? The two that are down are our most active ones, so it's very unusual for them to be like this. I wouldn't worry so much, if it was just the one with a hurt leg, but the second one acting strange as well seems like an issue. There aren't any bloody poops or anything, so I'm kind of at a loss....very new to chickens, this is our first group of chicks.
Thanks for any help.

It doesn't sound like coccidiosis, but I'm not sure. Mereks comes to mind. I'm guessing as a possibility.

I would not give Sulmet or Corid unless I saw bloody poo. That stuff is pretty toxic and avoided at all costs.

Did you get your chicks from a farm store that orders from hatcheries? If so, they pick up illness so quickly.

We got them from my pet chicken, and I had them all vaccinated. It's sad cause the one is just laying there not trying to walk anymore at all, and the other is just standing, seeming like, depressed. The one that is still standing is our Barred Rock, and until this morning, was our dominate one.
Anyone else with any ideas?

Well i've got Rhino separated, so the others stop stepping on her. Everyone is eating some eggs and grit right now. Bardie, our dominate one, seems happier while eating. Maybe she was acting calm because of Rhino? I'm not sure, but I'll keep an eye on them. Every once in a while I pick up Rhino and stretch her leg a little. At least she's eating, which makes me feel a little better.
Again, anyone have some advice?

Ok, Rhino is eating and drinking just fine, she's even trying to walk around her little mini brooder. Bardie is acting fairly normal, jumping on my hand and all that. I'm hoping one night to recover will help Rhino, I don't want her on her own for too long. And the other three chicks barely notice anyone is missing. Hopefully I don't have to constantly deal with hurt chicks.
