Def. wasn't sure what they would look like when foraging to get the pods... but after the painting part...they started to take shape... I wish i could have found some hickory nuts instead, they have a funky shape to them...nut the acorns aren't that bad... I try to glue the seeds to the acorn with the fluffy stuff to make the eyes...WHAT A MESS!!! I had fluffies flying all over my sunroom...

You could also leave off the center pod, and paint a tiny little face on it with a gold ring on top like an angel's wreath. Those pods make perfect angel wings!! Darling idea.
