Anyone going to this show in Knoxville, TN in Dec? This year will be my first time going. I am potentially taking a pair of call ducks. I was hoping someone that has been before or will be going this year could shed some light on what to expect. This will be my first big poultry show. Looking to learn lots

I went last year as an observer only, picked up a pre-paid trio of Ameraucanas from my friend there too, @samouw she will be entering again this year, I believe, and entered last year for the first time... it is huge and a wonderful show... I had hoped to enter there this year, but looks like circumstances will prevent that this year, unfortunately...

Entry deadline is November 15th, just fyi...

I am trying to arrange some d'Uccles to pick up and of course more calls if possible. I unfortunately am in a wedding the main day of the show so I am really only entering so that I can have Friday and Sunday to meet people and learn since I will be absent on Saturday. I am certain my little ducks won't be at the top of their class but I want to be able to meet people and see what its all about and it was my understanding spectators will only be permitted on Saturday. I can't wait though. I am exhibiting in my first (albeit much smaller) APA show next weekend so I will hopefully learn some things and meet some folks there.

Hi I have shown there every year for many years. It is a wonderful show and I encourage you to attend. everyone is very helpful. Unfortunately I am forced to sell my Polish show stock as I can no longer take care of them so I will be selling only at this show not showing very sad for me.

I am sorry to hear that I am looking forward to attending and learning lots hopefully. I hope you find great homes for all of your birds. I imagine that must be tough. I have only been showing for less than 2 years and I am already attached to all of my birds.

It is sad for me not to be showing anymore but I will still have some of my silkie left to keep me company and will still hopefully show up from time to time at shows if I am able to see old friends.

It is huge! 2 levels even... but I think upper level is the youth show... and club tables...

I cannot wait. The biggest show I have been to had 400 and I thought that was a big deal. I am already planning my trip to the Ohio Nationals next year. Just seeing pictures from there was awesome. I was hoping to buy some birds there but haven't had any luck finding any for sale ahead of time. I don't anticipate there being a lot of what I am shopping for available for sale at the show but fingers crossed maybe!

There is usually a lot for sale, but you gotta get there early for the best picks...
