21 week old RIR’s not laying yet

I have 5 Rhode Island Reds. They were on grower feed until about 19 weeks, then I switched them over to layer feed. They don’t free range but a couple hours a week and don’t get many treats. They are in a coup/run set up. I live in East TN, so days are starting to get longer and warmer (60’s and 70’s this week). Is this abnormally late for RIR’s or maybe just chalk it up to the time of year? Any tips? Just be patient?

My current layer feed is 17%…I have been mixing in some grower feed with it as well. Thank you!

That’s still relatively early. Sometimes they can take 24-26 weeks or longer. Just be patient as hard as that is lol

Sounds great! Chickens live off spite so they'll cross their little legs and refuse to lay if you keep checking
