for the first whole week right? I have two 2-day old RIR's from a local farm. Which is all they would sell me.
The chicks have all they need but one has a head hung low. What do they look like when they sleep? I'm afraid one of them is struggling. One was pasted up and I took care of it. The other one's vent is fine.

When my baby guinea fowl would sleep they would lay down on the belly or lean agenst anothe chick.

When the chicks are too cold they will huddle together under the light, when too hot they will stay away from the light.

I've had chicks lay down on their side and sleep with their legs straight out behind them. Looks like they were dead

the ice cube trays hold food and water. it seems to be working ok. they are both doing well today. the weeker one yesterday looks much stronger today. i named her almost.

I had a lot die at first, so it still kind of freaks me out when they stretch out their legs and fall asleep. Mine like to sleep on their bellies with their neck stretched out and the head tucked under a little bit. They're starting to learn how to sleep on a roost now, though.
