Well I woke up this morning to a few pipped eggs in the bator, since then nothing at all (it's been 12 hours).

Going to bed soon, and was just wondering if there is NO change tomorrow morning - 24 hours after initial pip - does that mean the chick had died in the shell?

I can see that the white skin that is just under the shell is intact, however I have heard peeping coming from the bator this afternoon.

But no chicks.

Temps holding steady at around 100F, humidity 65%... hatch is actually due tomorrow, these pips were a day early

I dont know what kind of incubator you have but I think you humidity should be a little higher like 70 to 80%. Otherwise they could become shrink wrapped (tough covering from low humidity). I know it can take up sometimes up to 48 hours from pip to zip. I hope all goes well with your hatch. If anything this will bump up your post and someone with more experience can help.

Humidity is fine, even a little too much and they could drown. Remember, those chicks didnt read all the books, some pip and hatch in 20 mins, some take every bit of 24 hours or more. So sit on your hands and watch...and wait....and dont open that incubator!
