Are the head stripes wide in the center with thin outer stripes? Or all thin broken/squiggly stripes? Wide = Buff Dundotte, Broken/Squiggly = Buff. Cute hatch

Congrats!!!

Sorry you lost a keet from this hatch, sometimes it's just not meant to be. Might have not developed a strong enough heart or lungs, it's hard to say.

I've never experienced a blind keet, but going by your explanation, it does sound like it's either blind or has some type of neurological issues going on. I'm surprised it's made it to 2 weeks of age... is it eating and drinking ok? If it's having issues now, IMO it will never be able to free range and fend or itself... and as hard as it is to think about doing the deed, you may need to put it down, unless you want to deal with a "special needs" bird it's entire life. Sorry

Edit:
PS... If you catch those lil buggers and put them in a smaller box or a bucket for a Photo Op, you can usually get good pics that way and can zoom in on their heads to see the markings. They hate it, but they get over it, since it's just temporary, lol.

thats how i got started.. ebay.. bought a dozen eggs from a lady in KY... every single one was fertile.. unfortunately i had a temp spike and lost all but 2... so i bought 10 keets same age, lost 4 the third week due to stupidity.. put hay in brooder, thought it was more "natural" ... then i bought 7 adults from craigslist.. by the time we got them home there were 6 eggs laid in the cage in the car... the rest is history.. in 2 months time those 6 hens have me hatching guineas every other week.. i keep saying no more... but there's eggs down there in the shed.. i cant just let them lay there now can I? 2 brooders full, 2 incubators full, 7 loose guineas and a large growout pen with 12 week olds. total guineas not including eggs in bator? 45 time to start eating the eggs i think

and that doesnt include all my other barred rocks, white leghorns, seabrights, seramas, OEG, silkies, EE and mutts!!

the lines on the head are not broken.. but they are faint in the middle, almost like a tan spot.. i will take better pictures.. they arent squiggly.. the center is hard to see but the lines on the outside are straight.

ps.. the one i think is blind always has a nice full crop. i had already thought about culling, there is no way i can raise a blind bird, too heartbreaking.. but i cant do it to one that is still energetic and eating either.. im going to give it some time..with so many i could probably end up with a "nursing home coop"......not looking forward to the outcome. and my gut tells me its the one that pipped first but didnt hatch and i helped it and it looked really funny for a couple days like its eyes were too big.
