Well my Mummer is now gone too!
He escaped out of the yard about 3 days ago. My neighbor found him in her backyard. She and I tried to catch him for an hour and a half! We could not get within 10 feet of him. So yesterday he decided to come back and was out by the barn pecking around, but everytime he saw me, he would take off running. Well today my DH found him in the field next to our yard. He was being eaten by about 7 buzzards! Last night we had a lot of rain, so I wasn't sure how he would do through the night, I am not sure what exactly happened to him , but he is gone now.
I think I will just wait it out now until the spring and get a big Orp boy baby and raise him like I did my girls. What ever this preditor is, it has not messed with my girls..they are pretty big? Mummer was pretty small and of course little Jack was too.
