I've got 3 broody hens in the same coop. Two are in the same nest box. I'm finding eggs from the other 4 hens on the floor and the poop boards. I keep removing them from the nest box, and they feed for a few minutes, then back into the nest boxes they go. It's been 4 days. I know I'll break them evidently, but what a PITA..

If you don't want chicks it sounds like you going to have to crate them

Said the guy(?) who hasn't put them in the broody breaker crate yet?
Trying to think of something whimsical, but drawing a blank.... lol.

Past two evenings when I was letting them free range, I took them out of the coop and closed the door. They had no choice but to wanter around the coop for 3 hrs...

Sometimes when a broody hen isn't that committed to being broody you can break them by tossing them out of the nest and other such actions, but I've found the best way to break a committed broody is to put her into an elevated crate where the air can get under her. Give her food and water but nothing like a nest. I leave mine in the broody buster 72 hours before I let them out. That usually is long enough but a few get a second treatment.
I have had three broodies in my 3' x 6' broody buster at the same time.

Happy to report all three have been broken. Did it take it longer than putting them in a brood box, yes, but I also didn't have any risk when letting them back into the flock. Which has happened before.
However, now I've got a broody in the second coop, lol.

Excellent!
Are they still breathing?(joke)

I keep the broody breaker crate in the coop or run, never had trouble with 'reintegration'.
