3 girls from my flock started laying the same day?

Ok, so I've been watching for eggs very close for weeks now. 2 daysago i went out, 2 eggs! Then later on 1 more! I've got three eggs a day since then. My question is. Can three pullets really lay their first egg on the same day. Just seems weird. I'm new to this. Does one laying trigger the rest?

if they are the same breed and hatched on the same day they could all start laying at the same time. Our 2012 hens the four Buff Orps and the RIRs all started laying within a week of each other.

Sweet! Thanks for the reply. They all hatched the same day. They are all different breeds. One RIR, one RHODE ISLAND WHITE, and one Plymouth barred rock. I have 11 in my flock. Hoping all the rest will start soon. I just think it is amazing three of them started laying on the same day.
