Ok, I have recently shown my little female duckling to my older muscovy duck. At first glance, the older duck seemed to have mixed interest, leaving sometimes, and returning sometimes. However, I found it interesting that upon taking the duckling out to the garden, the oler duck came to the aera, almost sensing the duckling. It started to rain, so we left, however found the older duck was following us. Im still unsure weather the older duck is female or male, however I have not see a curl in the tail, Ill post a picture to show you guys who have more experience with ducks, however did not chase the duckling either. So far, I think they have donde good progress for the first day. I can see them imprinting soon. The older duck had a partner, however we lost the partnner over the weekend
Thanks for clearing that out, as I never knew which was which. The duckling appears to be yellow with black spots on her head. So, Im guessing this is a Muscovy.
