My baby ducks are 7 weeks of age now and are fed only Flock Raiser and Scratch Grain for snacks. This deformity started around 4 weeks of age. All 20 ducklings arrived healthy and robust. All of the feedback I have received discussed how they are so big and healthy. Many people thought they were 7 weeks when they were only 3 week of age. I started them off in a pen that is part of a 5 stack Brooder with wire bottoms. I have even given them Niacin in their drinking water until I was discouraged by a Professional (Holderread) because he stated that Flock Raiser should be sufficient for newly hatched ducklings. Please, help me if you are familiar with such an illnes?

Im going to say that the wire bottoms are causeing some sort of rubbing causeing sorness which will them cause them to walk weird or not at all. Do they have time to go in any water? Id change the bottom somehow and let the ones with the sore feet to soak in water for awhile.

Flock raiser should be sufficient, but some duck just need extra niacin. It is always best to give it to them if you notice any foot disorder. Some ducks don't even get a nutritional diet and do just fine, but some ducks have a problem. Niacin is safe to give to them their body will just get rid of the extra.

I also second the previous advice. Could you add some bedding over the wires?
